Logo reads StowFundWe’re pleased to announce that our StowFund community grant has awarded Suffolk Accident Rescue Service (SARS) £500.

SARS is a voluntary emergency medical charity which helps treat patients who require urgent and specialist medical care before they reach hospital. SARS provides volunteer responders who have additional skills and carry equipment and drugs which cannot be found on frontline ambulances. This means they can undertake advanced procedures at the scene of incidents which would not normally be possible outside the hospital environment. These can be truly life-saving interventions as well as helping reduce the chances of patients suffering permanent disability.

This funding will help SARS cover the costs of responding in the Stowmarket area, which includes replacing equipment and specialist drugs used by SARS responders when attending incidents in the locality, as well as vehicle costs, specifically SARS team vehicles. SARS have already been mobilised to several incidents in Stowmarket this year.

We offer grant funding support to local community groups and organisations; supporting projects and initiatives which directly benefit the residents of Stowmarket. Please go to our Supporting Community Groups page for more information.
