Formerly known as The Rec, King’s Meadow Recreation Ground is one of Stowmarket’s most popular green spaces. Recently renamed and enhanced with a fantastic new children’s play area, the park offers a welcoming place for families, friends and visitors to relax, play and enjoy the outdoors.
Surrounded by mature trees and conveniently located just a short walk from Stowmarket town centre, King’s Meadow Recreation Ground is the perfect place to spend time outdoors.
Facilities
The Café on the Rec is managed by The Salvation Army and run by dedicated volunteers, offering refreshments in a friendly community setting.
Public toilets are available during the café’s opening hours. Please check the café’s current opening times before your visit.
Parking
Limited on-street parking is available around the recreation ground. Alternatively, the Meadow Centre and Iliffe Way car parks are both just a few minutes’ walk away.
