Councillor Nick Gowrley

My wife Heather and I have lived in Combs Lane in Stowmarket since 1991. Following redundancy from Mid Suffolk District Council, where I had worked for almost 24 years, I took early retirement.

I have been privileged to serve as a Stowmarket Town Councillor since 2014.

I have always stood as a candidate who wants to represent the people in my community and to be able to make things happen in the area.

As the town of Stowmarket grows, the new housing put additional pressures on local services, roads, the schools, doctors and dentist surgeries, jobs etc. I am committed to ensuring that the relevant support is provided to ensure the needs of my community are put first.

Apart from my Council responsibilities, I am a Trustee of the Mid Suffolk Citizens Advice, the Clerk to the Stowmarket Relief Trust and a member of the Friends of Pikes Meadow committee.
