Councillor Keith Scarff

I stood for Stowmarket Town Council because I believe that if you want to make a difference, then you have to get involved. Perhaps at the time I did not expect to still be a Councillor, some twenty seven years later! Anyone who knows me already, will know that I love meeting people and discussing issues, something which is an essential role to being a Councillor. Currently I am a Councillor on Mid Suffolk District Council.

Stowmarket Town Council is a high achieving Council, well connected to the community that we serve. That is why I really enjoy being a Town Councillor! I have lived here in Stowmarket for over thirty years now, moving just up the road from Hadleigh, my first home town. I think of Stowmarket and what is going on all of the time, this helps to shape my views and represent you at all three levels of Local Government.

When not doing Council work & meetings, I enjoy gardening, being a Trustee on Stowmarket Relief Trust, Vice Chair of the Pickerel Project and a committee member of Stowmarket Town Twinning Association. Each of these organisations contribute to life’s rich tapestry and help make our Town a great place to live, work and relax in!
