I have lived in Stowmarket for 34 years and I enjoy living in the town. I am married to Barry with two sons, a daughter-in-law and twin grandchildren. I am retired from working with adults with learning difficulties but still help at the Monday Club which is a community group for those with special educational needs.

My hobbies include bowling, walking, gardening – which I really enjoy – and occasional bird watching.

I am involved with a number of clubs and organisations in the town including the Stowmarket Local History Group, the Town Twinning Association, Suffolk Wildlife Trust, and I am a regular member of the Pickerel Project, litter picking and improving the river path along the Gipping.

As a town councillor I supported the improvements to the Regal cinema. I am extremely pleased with the newly refurbished building and look forward to using it in the future.

I continue to support the Town Council tree planting and I am keen to support the environmental scheme taken on by our council including making log piles and erecting bird boxes and hedge planting to benefit the environment.
