Keep Stowmarket Tidy Week is part of our Community Champion initiative. This dedicated, week-long spring clean, held during the school Easter holidays, brings the community together to tackle litter and keep our town clean and tidy.

Everyone is invited—individuals, families, community groups, and businesses—to get involved! Whether you want to join a group event or organise your own clean-up, there are many ways to take part.

How You Can Get Involved

  1. Join or Organise a Clean-Up

Arrange your own litter-picking or clean-up sessions anytime during the week. Equipment such as litter pickers, gloves, and bags are available from our Cleanup Hubs to help you get started.

Or, take part in our Team Up to Clean Up event—a special community action day where volunteers meet at the Recreation Ground to clean key areas of Stowmarket together. It’s a great way to meet others and make a big difference as a team! This year the Team Up to Clean Up event will take place on Tuesday 31st March 2026.

  1. Clean Up Casually

Feel free to tidy up whenever and wherever you like—whether it’s while out for a walk, in your neighbourhood, or with family and friends. Every little bit helps!

Get Involved!

Whether you join an event, organise your own clean-up, or simply pick up litter around you, every effort counts. Help us make Stowmarket a cleaner, greener place for everyone to enjoy.

During the week, we’ll share stories and photos of local efforts, so please send us your pictures and updates!
